In the beginning ... a new challenge . . . college is ancient history . . . very soon feeling
old . . . tired . . . when do I sleep? . . . tomorrow night I'll catch up ... too much to do
now . . . test in a week ... no more studying the night before ... 5 chapters to know !

. . . must find an advisor
research I might enjoy? . . .
a doctoral dissertation? . . .

. . . who do I like? . . . who is a good guy? . . . who does
who? . . . think of a research problem . . . good enough for
committee member selections . . . more course work.

. . . must keep all professors happy . . . make no enemies . . . complain a little ... a lot
. . . about almost everything . . . worry why he didn't like your 91 . . . always try to do
better . . . school dance or study? . . .have to relax sometime . . . when? . . . when do they

Physical Therapy 1969

The Neuromuscular Skeletal system— People— Patients— Patience— Becoming a part of
the Team Approach — Learning faith in your ability — Camping trips in 20' weather— Going
from hearts to bridge — 2nd, 3rd, and 10th floors — Finding that appropriate stress does
promote maturity — Finding things in yourself you didn't know were there — and finding
them differently every day — Calling mid-term exams "small quizzes" — 16 hours of night
classes in one week — Looking back on anatomy orals as a learning experience — Changing
your goal from senior to R.P.T. — Seeing "Senior Students" written on your test papers —
Watching helplessly as your schedule became a fill in the blanks — Learning to be decisive —
Seeing your patient improve (thrilling!) — Presenting your first professional literature pa-
per — Belonging to the A.P.T.A. — Knowing that all that pains is definitely not arthritis —
An after-Physiology party — Engagement rings and weddings — An 84 day party — A 69
day party — A 32 day party — Packing up and moving out when everybody else is still here
— March in New York, Norfolk, Baltimore, Charlottesville, Washington — Giving and get-
ting — Coming here as a care-free college student and leaving, hopefully, as a mature, car-
ing individual in your niche as an R.P.T.

The professional's
professional.

You.

In pharmaceuticals, yesterday's
information can be obsolete tomorrow. Men of
medicine need someone who speaks their
language to keep them up to date. Which is
where you come in— the professional's
professional. And, they'll listen when you
talk because the Upjohn name means quality
to them. Not only in products but
in the men who represent them.

If you welcome a challenge in the
pharmaceutical field and if you are the
kind of man who wants to earn respect and
responsibility in his profession, then
Upjohn may be the place for you. Our
policy of promoting from within can give
you a career that grows with the industry.
Our immediate personal benefits are
most attractive.

For information about a career with Upjohn,
write to L. C. Hoft, Director, Domestic
Pharmaceutical Sales, The Upjohn Company,
